Pure black opium

Opium is a powerful narcotic substance derived from the dried latex of the opium poppy (Papaver somniferum). This milky substance is collected from the unripe seed pods of the poppy plant. For centuries, it has been used for medicinal purposes, primarily as a potent painkiller and sedative. Opium contains several naturally occurring alkaloids, the most well-known of which are morphine and codeine.
